Lot #2. Tollot-Beaut Corton-Charlemagne 2005

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 94 AM.
"From a 0.25 ha parcel situated in Aloxe that is on the Ladoix border, aged in 65% new wood. By contrast to the Bourgogne, this is wonderfully fresh, airy and bright with citrus and green apple aromas trimmed in a bit of wood spice that complement perfectly the big, rich and gorgeously intense full-bodied flavors that seem to be extracted directly from liquid rock, all wrapped in a palate staining and explosively long finish . . . . the flavor authority and purity of expression are flat out terrific. One to buy. Note that this will require some time because it is quite austere and backward at present." Burghound.com, Jul 01, 2007
Provenance: The Sea Cliff Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $225
