"This consistently excellent Bourgogne rouge bottling was one of the last to finish up malo this year in the cellars, so the wine was still in cask and was tasted after several of the premier crus that were already assembled in tank! The wine is going to be lovely, offering up a red fruity bouquet of cherries, quince, vinesmoke, stony soil tones and a bit of orange peel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish and complex, with ripe tannins and good length and grip on the finish. Lovely wine, but will want a few years of bottle age before broaching . . ."
