. JR. "65% 70-year-old Grenache, 35% Syrah. Single-vineyard bottling – new. When they arrived in 1995 they did some geological tests. ‘We were pioneers. Needed to correct farming and clones, so we did some micro vinifications. Took 5 to 10 years to isolate a single vineyard.’ Limestone. Very deep crimson. Very well-mannered nose. Nicely integrated. Very tender wine. Fermentation in concrete with long skin contact. Mulberries. Very charming. Not obviously Maury really!" Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 21 Dec 2011 (Tasted 29 Oct 2011) |
