"As magical as the 2009 La Forest is in the Dauvissat cellars this year, the Les Preuses is a decided step up in quality. This is a complete, pure and absolutely stunning young vintage of this wine, as it soars from the glass in a beautiful and very crystalline mélange of apples, grapefruit, lemon zest, beeswax, white flowers, oyster shells, chalk and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and complex, with racy acidity, a great core of fruit, stunning soil inflection and brilliant length and grip on the crisp and tensile finish.
