The Spring 2015 Live Auction
|
We are proud and pleased
to announce that Spectrum
Wine's Spring Auction
Series
is open for
bidding!
This
auction, like all of our
auctions, includes the
lovingly-amassed collections
of several consignors. These
world-class collectors have
entrusted Spectrum Wine
Auctions with yet another
incredible sale that we are
proud to unveil to the world.
Indeed, this auction is
replete with points, offering
over 120
lots composed of
perfect-scoring wines.
This vast auction consists of
a staggering 8,959 bottles
across over 2,100 lots
emanating from over 150 wine
regions around the world, and
represents over 215 years of
wine making history (1795 to
2012).
Highlights
include three cases of 2010
Pétrus in OWC (Lots
565, 566, 567), two cases
of the perfect-scoring latest
release of Screaming Eagle
from the 2012 vintage
(415,
416), eleven lots from the
venerable Domaine Armand
Rousseau, twenty-one lots of
masterpieces from Domaine
Leflaive, twenty-four lots of the
scintillating wines of Maison
Joseph Drouhin, ten
lots of the rare Krug Clos du
Mesnil, twenty-one lots of Dalla
Valle’s legendary Maya,
fifty-one lots of sundry
treasures from Sine Qua
Non and so much more.
This auction is truly a roll
call of the best producers
from around the world - all
beautifully packed into the
pages of this catalog.
A special
highlight worth noting is the
1795 Barbeito Terrantez
(Lot
611). It is one of the
oldest wines Spectrum Wine
Auctions has been privileged
to sell (though we have sold
different bottlings of this
legendary wine thrice
previously) and we expect
spirited bidding for this
extremely rare bottle of
glorious Madeira. The 1795
Terrantez by Barbeito is
rightly thought to be one of
Madeira’s greatest treasures.
