92+ JG. "The 2010 Les Cras from Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a very pretty and sappy wine that indicates that it had a chance to work a bit of the water through its system prior to being picked. The nose is deep, pure and classically Chambolle, offering up a blend of red and black cherries, vinesmoke, fresh herb tones, raw cocoa, a lovely, complex base of soil tones and a touch of cedary wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and transparent, with a nice sense of reserve, fine-grained tannins and lovely length and grip on the tangy finish. This wine was raised in just over fifty percent new wood this year." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2011, Issue #36 |
