Lot #122. Petrus 1978

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Region: France, Bordeaux, Pomerol.
Score: 18.5 JR.
"Pale, mid rusty-ruby. Sweet liqueur on the palate with a slightly dusty nose. Very sweet start and fully developed with attractive dusty, biscuit (sweet tea biscuit) aromas. Very fresh with more depth than any other 1978 red bordeaux I can remember, but no excess of alcohol. Jewelly texture and freshness and great opulence but in a fresh idiom. Wonderfully complete even if not the headiest, densest P├ętrus. Very, very long." JancisRobinson.com, Dec 8 2009
Notes: Base neck, very lightly torn, very lightly wrinkled, very lightly corroded, lightly scuffed capsule, nicked, very lightly damp stained, very lightly bin soiled, very lightly scuffed, very lightly cut label.
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $1,200
