Lot #410. Armand Rousseau Chambertin 2002

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 97 NM.
"Medium-deep color. We readily admit our love for Rousseau’s top wines, and this is a perfect example. The aromas are incredible, complex and rustic. Notes include sweet dark berries, vanilla, leather, spice, smoke, earth, and minerals. Fabulous on the palate as well; great attack, powerful, with flavors of medicinal berries and lingering mid-palate smoke. Hugely extracted, concentrated; a wine of great depth. Best of all, a 90-second finish that exudes Burgundy at its best. Even someone with a palate of stone could tell that this wine is special. Only La Tâche beat it in our “show of hands” voting for 'wine of the night.'" Neal Martin, Wine Journal, May 2012
Provenance: The Irlandais Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $2,500
