"Exceptional vintage. A great season with a very rainy Spring, warm and dry Summer. A cool and dry harvest. Only grapes that come from the Estate vineyards are vinified. Uncork and pour out a bit of wine from the bottles at least 8 hours before serving. Production area: Montalcino; Vineyards´ age: Over 25 years; Soil composition: various origins, rich in stones. The best are the ones rich in marl; Altitude: from 300 to 500 metres; Grapes: Sangiovese grosso 100%; Ageing: 3 years in Slavonian oak casks; Refining in bottle: at least six months; Notes: intense ruby red, towards garnet, bright; very subtle, characteristic, complex with notes of iris, blossoming vine and vanilla; great structure, fairly tannic, harmonious, warm, savoury and very persistent; Aging: Up to 100 years and more."
