Lot #80. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Saint-Vivant 1990

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 97 NM.
". . . notes of dark cherry, minerals, oyster shell and violets. It is so unresolved but imperceptibly it coalesces into the wonderfully pure, floral Pinot bouquet. But this is after two hours in my glass! The palate is filigree tannin, displaying just a hint of saddle-leather, but very youthful red-berried fruit leading to a bashful, stoic finish. It takes a long time to summon up its powers unlike the bottle a couple of years ago that was instantly captivating. Still, that is wine for you!" Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Aug 2005
Notes: Heavily stained, lightly scuffed label, #06069.
