Lot #105. Domaine Méo-Camuzet Corton Les Perrières 2013

Description: Consists of 1 Magnum, 1.5L
Score: 93+ JG.
"Jean-Nicolas Méo is very passionate about the fine terroirs to be found on the hill of Corton, and sometimes I wish that the Prince de Merode estate had turned to him to farm and produce wines from their excellent holdings in Bressandes, Renardes and Clos du Roi. In any case, the 2013 Corton “Perrières” was raised in sixty-five percent new wood this year and offers up a superb, youthful and utterly classic bouquet of cherries, blood orange, mustard seed, stony minerality, venison, coffee and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very soil-driven in personality, with a rock solid core, fine-grained tannins and a very, very long, perfectly balanced and tangy finish. Classic Corton in the making." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2014, Issue #54
Provenance: The Saône Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $250
