91 NM. "Tasted at the IMW 2008 tasting at Vintners Hall. Christophe Roumier 2008s seems to have blossomed in bottle. The Chambolle Village has a lifted bouquet with bright red-berried fruit mingling with wild hedgerow and a touch of underbrush. Good definition as usual. The palate has very fine, chalky tannins on the entry, just a touch of citrus peel lending this an edginess. Very poised and coiled towards the finish that is not complex, but very well defined and very fine. Superb. Tasted March 2011." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, May 2011 |
