93-95 AM. Magnificently perfumed aromas of black, sexy fruit and essence of dried herbs, soy, jasmine tea, clove and anise followed by rich, velvety flavors offering layer after layer of mind bending complexity. This is not as big or as powerful as the Romanée St. Vivant and Bonnes Mares but it is more complex. In short, I was knocked out by the quality of this and it has to be one of the top 4 or 5 premiers crus of the vintage. Awesome! Allen Meadows, Apr 4, 2001 |
