94 JG. "The 2009 La Forest is the most reserved wine in the lineup to this point and it will be a stellar example of the vintage. The brilliant bouquet soars from the glass in a beautiful blend of apples, tart citrus tones, flint, wet stones and lemon peel. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied, tight and absolutely racy, with a gorgeous core of fruit, brisk acids and a brilliantly intense, palate-staining, mineral bath of a finish. A great, great vintage for the Dauvissat La Forest." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2010, Issue #30 |
