Lot #242. La Fleur-Pétrus 1996

Description: Consists of 10 Bottles, 0.75L
Region: France, Bordeaux, Pomerol.
Score: "This property has come of age with the acquisition of Le Gay's old vine parcel. It is now consistently one of the finest wines of the appellation, and clearly merits is famous name. The 1996 may deserve an outstanding score with a year or two of bottle age. It boasts an impressively saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a pure, sweet nose of cherries, plum liqueur, spicy oak, and floral scents. The wine possesses excellent depth, medium body, superb purity, and an overall elegant personality offering a combination of power and finesse." Wine Advocate #122, Apr 1999
Provenance: The Marée Cellar
Notes: Very lightly wrinkled, very lightly scuffed, 5 nicked labels.
