90 RP. "The 2012 Pinot Noir Rayhill Vineyard exhibits a healthy dark ruby hue, notes of wild strawberries and black cherries, hints of earth and forest floor, medium body, good depth and ripeness, and a premier cru Côte du Beaune-like style . . . . I was surprised by how many different selections Landmark Vineyards has morphed into, as well as by major changes made to their label. I tasted six Chardonnays and eight Pinot Noirs, all from the 2012 vintage, so things have changed dramatically since the last time I visited. All in all, Landmark Vineyards has fashioned an impressive group of Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from a dizzying array of sources." Wine Advocate #216, Dec 2014 |
