Lot #929. La Tour Haut-Brion 1989

Description: Consists of 12 Bottles, 0.75L
Packaging: OWC.
Score: 94 WS.
"Offers plum and berry aromas, with sweet tobacco and cedar as well as dried fruits and Christmas cake. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and loads of fruit, with a dried currant, tobacco and tarmac flavor. A bit chewy, but impressive. It's a shame this is no longer made, but it was always a small-production and special wine. Why wait? [1989/1999 Bordeaux blind retrospective, 2009.]" WineSpectator.com, 2010
Notes: 9 neck, 3 base neck, 1 nicked and very lightly scuffed label.
