92 AM. "In contrast to several other of these 2010s this has eaten all of it wood and is actually more elegant than is typical for the Leclerc style though it remains very Gevrey with its deeply pitched aromas of plum, earth and hints of the sauvage. There is an equally refined mouth feel to the mid-palate of the attractively textured and lightly mineral-inflected flavors that possess excellent phenolic maturity before culminating in a firm but not especially hard or austere finish. This is really very good and while there is good Gevrey muscle it's delivered with style. Note that while there is excellent aging potential here, this will actually be approachable young if given 30 minutes or so of air first." Burghound.com, Jun 15, 2014 |
