"This is a great wine from Jean-Guillaume Prats and tasted alongside the gestating 2009 at the chateau, guess which one I preferred? The 2008 has a wonderful, life-affirming bouquet: very pure and refined, great precision with blackberry, bilberry, briary, a touch of wild hedgerow and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced with slightly brittle tannin on the entry, the Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) firmly in the driving seat. Great clarity and focus towards the almost Pauillac like finish soaked in mineralité, this wine is brilliantly realized." |
