Region: Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy, France
Varietal: Pinor Noir
Classification: Grand Cru
Importer:
Score: 94ST
Review: “Complex, ripe, soil-driven scents of black raspberry, smoke and underbrush. Utterly seamless and sweet on the palate, conveying a noble texture to its flavors of dark berries, crushed rock and smoke. There's something Musigny-like here, and André Esmonin notes that the rocky, sandy soil is not unlike that of Musigny. More harmonious today than the Mazy-Chambertin, finishing with fine-grained tannins and outstanding subtle rising length. Left behind a captivating floral perfume in the empty glass. The yield here was 32 hectoliters per hectare in 2015, according to Frédéric Esmonin.” Stephen Tanzer 94 points.
