Lot #190. Domaine Leroy Richebourg 2005

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 95-98 AM.
A completely different aromatic profile presents itself here as the spicy black fruit, cassis, violet and mineral-infused nose is brooding and reserved and the flavors are perhaps the most concentrated and powerful to this point, all wrapped in a very firm and powerful finish that is both textured and youthfully austere. I rarely prefer Leroy's Riche to her RSV but in 2005 it appears that this may have the barest edge. No, it definitely does not have the refinement but there is another, if subtle, dimension present on the finish. Allen Meadows, Jan 01, 2007
Provenance: The Besançon Cellar
Notes: Nicked and lightly scuffed wax capsule, lightly scuffed vintage neck tag, very lightly scuffed label. Bottle No. 00507
