Lot #193. Domaine Leroy Romanée-Saint-Vivant 2009

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 98 AM.
"From a 1.0 ha parcel planted in 1924. Not surprisingly, this is completely different from the Renardes with significantly more aromatic refinement that presents itself in the form of spicy and ultra-pure floral and black fruit aromas. The equally polished flavors seem crafted from nothing other than gossamer-like pure silk that dances across the palate before terminating in a sophisticated and perfectly balanced finish. This is not as complex as the Renardes but it is so much finer and with the very, very special quality of the underlying material, this is unquestionably destined for greatness. This matches up very favorably with the 2006 Leroy RSV and it's possible that it could even surpass it." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Jan 2012
Provenance: The Besançon Cellar
Notes: 2cm, chipped and lightly wine stained wax capsule, nicked and very lightly bin soiled vintage neck tag, lightly bin soiled and heavily torn label, sign of slight overfill seepage. Bottle No. 01446
