Lot #16. Lascombes 1970

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 90 JMQ.
"Dark red. Good intensity. Slight evolution. Clean. Medium intensity. Fruity. Notes of resin and pine. A touch of smoke. Pretty. Seems to come from a new barrel. Medium intensity. Fruity. A touch of curry. Creamy. Really pure and quite complex. So different from the last time. A suave entry on the palate, developing a caressing structure of melted tannin. The finish is aromatic and the body is medium. Served with veal, this rather light red wine is delicious." Jean-Marc Quarin, Quarin.com, Jun 2001
Provenance: The Maquereau Cellar
Notes: High shoulder, very lightly scuffed capsule, nicked, lightly damp stained, lightly scuffed label.
