Lot #982. Altocedro Tempranillo Desnudos 2003

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 92+ WA.
"The 2003 Desnudos is 100% Tempranillo sourced from a densely planted 70+ year old vineyard located in Consulta, a sub-region of Mendoza. The wine was fermented with native yeasts and aged for 30 months in French oak before being bottled unfiltered. Opaque purple-colored, it gives up aromas of pain grille, pencil lead, espresso, and blackberry. Full-bodied, structured, and rich on the palate, the wine is loaded with spicy black fruits and enough ripe tannin to support an additional 6-8 years of further evolution in bottle. Beautifully balanced and long in the finish, this is one of the finest Tempranillo-based wines produced outside of Rioja and Ribera del Duero." Wine Advocate #174, Dec 2007
Provenance: The Bruxelles Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed, very lightly scuffed, lightly bin soiled, very lightly torn, nicked label.
