92 ST. "13.9% alcohol: Bright dark ruby. Very ripe aromas and flavors of dark berries, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Fine-grained and light on its feet, with the exotic oak character typical of Silver Oak nicely supported by its intense fruit. Harmonious acidity and a slightly herbal quality contribute to the suavity of this wine. Expands nicely on the back half, with the fine-grained tannins coating the palate. An excellent vintage for this bottling: not a heavyweight but balanced and alive." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com, May 2017 |
