Lot #77. Léoville-Las Cases 1961

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 92 NM.
"Tasted at Roberson’s Las-Cases vertical. This has a well defined bouquet . . . . Dark berries, a touch of soy, mint and cranberry leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, taut tannins; very strict and linear, a slight tinny edge towards the finish but well defined. This is probably the best bottle of ’61 that I have met . . ." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Jul 2011
Provenance: The Dominion Cellar
Notes: Top shoulder, lightly bin soiled, lightly corroded capsule, nicked, damp stained, bin soiled, scuffed label, sign of slight past seepage.
