Lot #134. Haut-Brion 1978

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 91 JG.
"The 1978 is a lovely, classic synthesis of the cooler fruit tones of 1978 and the classic terroir of Haut Brion. The bouquet offers up a lovely blend of blackberries, paraffin, tobacco ash, Graves earth, a bit of bell pepper and a lovely, pungent topnote of violet. On the palate the wine is medium-full, refined and elegant, with great complexity, fine mid-palate depth, and lovely length and grip on the tangy, meltingly tannic finish." View From the Cellar, May/Jun 2007, Issue #9
Provenance: The Dominion Cellar
Notes: 2cm or better, lightly stained capsules, bin soiled, damp stained, and lighty torn labels.
