Lot #181. Les Grands Marechaux Premieres Côtes de Blaye 2003

Description: Consists of 3 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 90 RP.
"This sleeper of the vintage is a very good choice for everyday drinking Bordeaux that is already gorgeous to consume, and should age nicely for 5-6 years or longer. The brilliant Stephane Derenoncourt is the consultant at Les Grands Marechaux. The blend is approximately 85% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The brilliant 2003 (7,200 cases produced) is a full-bodied, surprisingly concentrated effort with superb richness, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture, and a decadently fruity, hedonistic style." Wine Advocate #164, Apr 2006
Notes: 1 base neck, lightly glue stained labels, 1 scuffed label.
