Lot #1983. Arnaud Ente Volnay Les Santenots Du Milieu 2017

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 93+ JG.
"The 2017 Santenots from Monsieur Ente has turned out beautifully and this may well be even a hair better than the outstanding wine he produced here in 2016. The bouquet is deep, pure and marvelously red fruity, jumping from the glass in a blaze of cherries, raspberries, a very complex base of soil, gamebird, a touch of spice from some whole clusters and a very discreet base of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very transparent in profile, with a lovely core of fruit, tangy acids, fine-grained tannins and a very, very long, complex and vibrant finish. This is one beautiful bottle of Volnay in the making." John Gilman, View From the Cellar #78, Dec 2018
Provenance: The Conifère Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed, nicked, chipped wax capsule.
