95 NM. "The 2017 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze has a wonderful estuarine bouquet, cockle shells and mudflat aromas infusing the dark berry fruit. Undergrowth scents emerge with aeration, allied with a tang of dried blood. The palate, by comparison, is fleshy and generous, demonstrating some youthful hardness that will dissipate with time in bottle. A very capable Clos de Bèze." Neal Martin, Vinous.com, Jan 2020 |
