Lot #47. Léoville-Las Cases 1992

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 90 RP.
In the bottle, Leoville Las-Cases confirms the outstanding quality of the cask samples I tasted with Michel Delon. Only 45% of the harvest made it into this wine. The result is another classic Leoville Las-Cases with a sweet blackcurrant and toasty mineral-scented nose, bold, medium to full-bodied flavors with excellent richness (there are layers of fruit in this 1992), and a long, tannic finish. The wine can be drunk now or cellared for 12-15 years. It is an outstanding success for the vintage, revealing Leoville Las-Cases' classic style. With elegance and a flattering precociousness, it is more charming at a younger age than Las-Cases is from blockbuster vintages such as 1990, 1989, 1986, 1985, and 1982. This is one of the top stars of the vintage! Wine Advocate #96, Dec 1994
Provenance: The Multitude Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed capsule, very lightly scuffed, very lightly bin soiled label.
