94+ AG. "Dehlinger's 2012 Pinot Noir High Plains is bright and chiseled to the core, with beams of underlying acidity and tannin that give the wine its sense of energy. Sweet floral and spiced notes develop in the glass, but the High Plains is mostly distinguished by its pure mineral-driven cut, which serves to balance some of the inherent richness of these soils. This is a striking, beautifully expressive Pinot from Dehlinger." Vinous, Jan 2015 |
