Lot #146. Michel Gaunoux Beaune 2005

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Region: France, Burgundy, Beaune.
Score: 92 JG.
"The 2005 Beaune is going to be a very special vintage for this bottling chez Gaunoux, as the wine offers up great purity, soil inflection and structural integrity. The beautifully pure nose offers up scents of red berries, blood orange, cherries, great minerality and a distinct topnote of roses. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very transparent, with ripe tannins, tangy acids and fine focus on the long, youthful finish. A very classy example of the vintage." John Gilman, View From the Cellar #24, Dec 2009
Provenance: The Pavona Cellar
Notes: Slightly recessed cork, lightly wrinkled label.
