"The 2011 Ponsot Griotte was also showing very well, offering up a fine bouquet of cherries, red plums, a fine base of soil, incipient notes of grilled meat, coffee and mustard seed in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and sappy at the core, with fine focus, ripe tannins and excellent grip on the well-balanced and very long finish.
