94 ST. "(80% from estate fruit): Bright ruby-red. Dark berries, licorice, cocoa powder, sexy oak spices, violet and tea rose on the nose and palate, along with a dusty minerality. Plush, pliant and sweet, with terrific concentration leavened by attractive floral lift. The superb, dry, slowly mounting finish features sweet tannins and terrific persistence. This has all the elements for a slow and graceful evolution in bottle but it makes for a pleasurable drink already. The best wine yet under [former New England Patriots Quarterback] Drew Bledsoe’s label, vinified by Bledsoe’s old high school buddy Chris Figgins." Vinous, Dec 2014 |
