Lot #91. Louis Chenu Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Hauts Jarrons 2019

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 91-93 VM.
"The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune Hauts-Jarrons 1er Cru comes from north-northeast- facing vines, whereas the domaine's others are south-facing. The soil is also slightly deeper and sandier here. This has the most floral bouquet, offering more red fruit and mineralité, and the best transparency of Pinoté among Chenu’s 2019s. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Cohesive and structured, leading to a vivid, slightly tart finish. This is a fantastic Savigny that may well end up at the top of my banded score." Neal Martin, Vinous, Dec. 2020
Provenance: The Hodia Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $80
