Lot #172. Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares 1998

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 93 AM.
"This was excellent in its youth and it just seems to get better and better with its spicy and distinctly earthy nose of now mostly secondary fruit and game aromas. There is a clean and very supple mouth feel to the large-scaled flavors that possess both excellent volume and concentration before culminating in a robust and energetic finish that displays outstanding depth and length. There is a hint of austerity but this is really quite well-balanced in the context of a vintage where not everything is. For my taste this has just about arrived at its peak and with a bit of air it could certainly be enjoyed now though I will continue cellaring my bottles for another 2 to 3 years first. Tasted several times over the course of time with consistent notes." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, May 2013
Provenance: The Bourges Cellar
Notes: Lightly scuffed capsule, very lightly scuffed and very lightly wrinkled label.
