Lot #23. Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 2002

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 95 AM.
"A highly perfumed and exceptionally fresh nose offers up an impressive array of spices, deep violet notes and soaring red and black pinot fruit. The refined middle weight and mineral-inflected flavors provide quite a contrast however as they are reserved, indeed almost brooding in character with a powerful, finely detailed and linear finish. The purity of expression here is stunning and about the only nit is that the weight is very good but not truly exceptional. While this could be drunk now with pleasure I would advise holding for another 5 to 10 years as it appears to have considerable unrealized development potential. Tasted several times over the years with mostly consistent notes." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Mar 2019
Provenance: The E Street Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $700
