Lot #37. Langoa Barton 1990

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 92 NM.
"Tasted at the Langoa-Barton vertical in London. Like the Langoa ’86, this has a noticeably deep garnet colour. A glorious nose that soars from the glass: roasted herbs, a touch of saddle leather, brambly black fruits and wild hedgerow. The palate is medium-bodied, lacking the harmony that it was showing a few years ago, meaty and savoury, fleshy in the middle although the acidity sticks out a little. There is a Pomerol-like finish that reminds me of Chateau Trotanoy. Not quite as riveting as my last bottle, but still a wildly successful 1990 that offers equal pleasure to those with wallet-crunching price tags. Delicious, delicious Claret. Tasted April 2009." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Nov 2009
Provenance: The Multitude Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed capsule, very lightly scuffed, very lightly bin soiled, lightly damp stained label.
