Lot #121. Ducru-Beaucaillou 1993

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: ". . . Jean-Eugene Borie, has turned in three highly laudable performances. Strict selection and fine winemaking have once again resulted in a classic 1993 Ducru-Beaucaillou, with a dark ruby/purple color, and a moderately intense nose of black and red fruits, minerals, vanilla, and lead pencil. The wine possesses outstanding flavor intensity, medium body, a sweet inner-core of fruit, and a long, dry, moderately tannic finish. The 1993 is reminiscent of this property's outstanding 1988. Give it . . . cellaring (Ducru-Beaucaillou is normally one of the most reticent and least flattering wines to taste during its first decade of life), and expect it to age gracefully . . ." Wine Advocate #97, Feb 1995
Provenance: The Aquamarine Cellar
Notes: Lightly damp stained, very lightly scuffed label.
