Lot #69. Angélus 2006

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 97 NM.
"Tasted blind at Southwold ’06 Bordeaux tasting. I like this nose - no, I love this nose. It is a little conservative at present, but succinctly delineated, with broody blackberry, plum, crushed stone and a faint touch of chocolate and fresh dates. Just wonderful. The palate is medium-bodied, rounded and generous with sensational depth of flavour. Firm tannins, yet cloaked in ethereal black, mocha tinged fruit with a persistent finish to die for. This is one of the best wines in recent years. Could it be Hubert de Boüard’s greatest achievement to date? Quite possibly. Tasted January 2010." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Jul 2010
Provenance: The Arctique Cellar
Notes: 1 Nicked capsule, very lightly scuffed labels.
