Lot #801. Poggio di Sotto Il Decennale 2001

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Region: Italy, Tuscany.
Score: 95 DC.
"This was a famous Riserva that was downgraded by the producers’ association tasting committee that once again made a mistake and confused blind tasting with being blind. The color is absolutely not as light as their report indicated and is in fact an intact, distinct and typical red. The aromas are wonderfully floral and balsamic, rich in nuances and extraordinary for their diversity. The mouthfeel has a splendid droiture, with fine and silky tannins. A splendid wine that is definitely ‘Gambelliano’, in other words with the sober and elegant style of the famous enologist Giulio Gambelli." Daniele Cernilli, DoctorWine.it, Oct 2015
Provenance: The Aquamarine Cellar
Notes: Base neck, nicked, very lightly scuffed label.
