"This is my favourite 1er Cru in 2011 from Raveneau. The older vines of Butteaux, most being more than 50 years or older, have handled the roller coaster vintage and the summer rains extremely well. The aromatics are delicate with pretty floral and stone fruits, while on the nose it is minerally and stony with a persistent finish. There is more finesse and delicacy here than in the Montmains.
