Lot #183. Suduiraut 1959

Description: Consists of 3 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 98 NM.
"Served at the chateau by Christian Seely, this is simply a sublime Sauternes that utterly seduces the senses. A deep gold/amber colour, very clear. The crystalline nose wafts from the glass, a perfumed of marmalade, creme brulee, apricot, wild honey and jasmine. You could just sit and inhale all day. The palate is viscous, beautifully balanced, no hard edges or any sign of oxidation after fifty years, perfect acidity with a harmonious, marmalade and nectarine tinged finish. It lingers in the mouth, not wanting to let go. This is spellbinding Sauternes." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Sep 2009
Provenance: The Dominion Cellar
Notes: 2 very top shoulder, 1 top shoulder, lightly worn capsules, nicked, lightly scuffed, and lightly bin soiled labels.
