Lot #235. La Lagune 1982

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 93 RP.
"This is a sumptuous La Lagune that has hit full maturity but shows no signs of decline. The color is a dense, opaque dark garnet. The wine offers up smoky notes intermixed with jammy black cherries, currants, licorice, and earth. The wine is thick, unctuously textured, with still some moderate tannin to shed. The wine is loaded, very rich, thick, and juicy, with very complex aromatics and surprising weight and power in the mouth. To my thinking, there has never been a more powerful, concentrated La Lagune ever produced." Bordeaux Book, 4th Edition, Dec 2002
Provenance: The Dominion Cellar
Notes: Very lightly bin soiled capsule, lightly scuffed, 1 lightly wine stained, damp stained, lightly bin soiled, 1 lightly mold stained, 1 mold stained label.
