Lot #611. Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red 1993

Description: Consists of 1 Magnum, 1.5L
Score: 88-91 RP.
"Pahlmeyer's 1993 has an unbelievable resemblance to a fine vintage of Bordeaux's renowned Chateau Leoville Las-Cases. The saturated dark ruby/purple color is followed by a wonderfully pure, vivid nose of blackcurrants, minerals, and spicy, high quality oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and elegant, this well-endowed, beautifully concentrated, graceful Cabernet Sauvignon will need 5-7 years of cellaring; it will keep for 20+ years. This fascinating wine could easily be confused with a top class Medoc if tasted blind." Wine Advocate #98, Apr 1995
Provenance: The Maquereau Cellar
Notes: Slightly recessed cork capsule, very lightly scuffed, nicked label.
