"Groffier's 2008 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses shows stunning balance in its layers of intricately perfumed fruit. This is a totally beguiling wine laced with extraordinary elegance and an inviting, captivating personality. Sweet, fragrant fruit lingers on the delicate yet tense finish. This is a beautiful set of wines from Groffier. The estate farms eight hectares of vineyards, all of which it owns. The fruit receives a cold soak prior to fermentation that accounts for much of the trademark perfume these wines show. The 2009s were bottled between mid-December, 2010 and mid-January 2011."
