Lot #353. Vacheron Sancerre Les Romains 2004

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Region: France, Loire, Sancerre.
Score: 90 VM.
"Pale gold. Dusty, floral nose features oak-accented tangerine and lemon aromas complicated by exotic white flowers. Rich and supple, with ripe citrus and baking spice flavors in a lush, seamless package. A deep, smoky pear note carries into the powerful finish. There's great material here but also a pronounced element of oak spice. I've seen Sancerre like this integrate with cellaring and am confident that'll be the case here. (This estate's superb 2004 Sancerre Rouge and 2004 Sancerre Rouge Belle Dame, which reminded me of wines from Pernand-Vergelesses and Volnay, rated 90 and 92 points, respectively.)" Josh Raynolds, Vinous.com, Mar 2007
Provenance: The Nantais Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed capsule, very lightly wrinkled vintage neck tag, very lightly scuffed label.
