93 NM. "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru 2011 from Drouhin-Laroze has an intriguing and complex bouquet: a mixture of red and black fruit, some stem-like scents; autumn woodland and undergrowth developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy cranberry and strawberry fruit underpinned by fine tannins and plenty of body toward the finish. Still youthful and vibrant, I suspect this has a long and prosperous future ahead." Neal Martin, Wine Advocate Interim, Nov 2014 |
