Lot #229. Jean Grivot Echézeaux 2005

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 94 AM.
"This concentrated beauty remains very primary with an herbal top note adding lift to the notably ripe and ultra-spicy black fruit and earth suffused aromas. There is seriously good density to the impressively scaled and imposing big-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract on the palate coating, powerful and powerful finish that goes on and on. This is a very structured wine that is clearly built for the very long haul and I wouldn't recommend touching a bottle for at least another decade. In sum, this offers stunning potential but in a package that is still years away from being ready. Tasted twice in the last few years with pretty consistent results." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Jun 2015
Provenance: The Seigle Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $500
